I recently tried the FixMyOwnDents DIY Kit and was pleasantly surprised by the results. The kit comes with a variety of tools, including suction cups, a dent puller, and a glue gun. The kit was relatively easy to use, although it did take some trial and error to get the hang of it. I also needed to use a hairdryer to heat up the area for better adhesion.

Yo, what's up, everyone! I gotta tell you about this dent repair kit that I just got. It's freaking amazing! I'd give it a solid five stars, no doubt. So, let me break it down for ya. This kit comes with everything you need to get rid of those annoying dents on your car. There's these little puller tabs, a puller, dent pulling glue, and even a glue gun. I mean, who would've thought that you could fix dents with glue? It's like magic or something.

  • Holli

Wow, let me tell you about this incredible dent repair method I recently discovered! It's all about using hot glue to attach a specially textured tab to the dent, and then using a tool to pull the tab up and remove the dent. At first, I was skeptical that hot glue could actually hold well enough to fix a dent, but I was blown away by how well it worked when I tried it out. In fact, I was able to repair a dent on my friend's Honda Civic hatchback using this technique! (yes I tested it on someone else’s car first!)

  • FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why only glue pulling? Aren't I supposed to push them out?

    172458_down_arrow_icon

Pushing IS the style a lot of profession dent removal companies use, BUT it requires a very high level of proficiency. Simply put; You have a better chance of ruining the panel with a push tool. Glue pull is VERY safe and will only HELP you in getting the damage out. Your ability to create more damage is limited with glue pull.

How do I remove the glue from the vehicle and the tools?

    172458_down_arrow_icon

Simple! 90% or stronger Isopropyl Alcohol (rubbing alcohol) will break the bond between the glue and the paint. One small drop inserted between the the two will chemically break the bond. Larger tabs can take longer but DON’T jam a tool between them to get the tabs or glue off the car. It WILL scratch the paint. Just be patient or use a heat gun to remelt the glue and pull it off that way.

I can't get the glue to stick. What am I doing wrong?

    172458_down_arrow_icon

    1. Make sure the panel is cleaned with rubbing alcohol and dried.

    2. Make sure your work area is 70-80F degrees

    3. Make sure your dent is about the same temp.

    4. Apply the glue within a foot from where you want to stick it!

    5. Get ready to pull it quickly. Most mistakes are made here. The wait time is between 15 seconds and 60 seconds! You should be able to touch the edge of the glue and it doesn’t stick to your finger, but it DOES feel ambient temperature. It helps to have your pulling tool set close by.

    6. Don’t hang the glue pull tab over an edge or a contour and DO cover the entire glue tab with glue always deploying it from the same spot in the center of a round tab. If the tab didn’t stick well, recheck the temperatures and adjust your wait time on the next pull. It can take 5-15 pulls for EACH DENT.

Can I use any glue gun with this process?

    172458_down_arrow_icon

Yes! Mostly! They need to be the standard size glue stick ( 1/2” or 12mm) and they should be able to get very hot!

Will it take my paint off when I put the glue on the car?

    172458_down_arrow_icon

Factory applied paint is strong enough to withstand the process 99 out of 100 times. But, there are times when the paint will fail. Remember it sustained some impact damage to have a dent in the first place. You are assuming some risk here. Panels that have been repainted at a body shop WILL have paint removed by this process. It just doesn’t stick to the car as well as the original stuff. Be careful. FMOD assumes no responsibility for damage that may result from your efforts.
